This 2 bed apartment completed in Oct 2004 is ideally located 10mins drive from Murcia airport and 45 mins from Alicante. Although in a quiet area, a 10 min stroll leads you to the beautiful Mar Menor beach & a 5-10 min walk to plenty of local bars, shops and restaurants. It can comfortably sleep 6 and is furnished to a very high standard with all mod cons including hot/cold air-conditioning ensuring maximum comfort at all times. 2 spacious bedrooms with built-in wardrobes. The master has a double bed & balcony, second bedroom has twin beds. Living room is fully furnished and contains a high quality double bed-settee. Fully equipped kitchen, large living/dining area and bathroom. There is a private terrace complete with table and chairs to the front, a large private solarium on the roof complete with patio furniture and all-round views. Impressive communal landscaped gardens accommodate a large swimming pool, complete with children's pool, making it ideal for family holidays.
Los Alcazares (pronounced 'los-alcatha-res') is situated in the Murcia region of Spain (Costa Calida). The town sits on the western shore of the Mar Menor, a huge saltwater lagoon separated from the Mediterranean Sea by a 22 kilometre long strip of land called La Manga. The area enjoys an average of 320 days of sunshine each year to it's blue flag beaches. Bars, cafes and restaurants provide drinks, tapas, meals and entertainment, and the warm water of the Mar Menor (averages 1-3 degrees warmer than the Mediterranean) helps make the town a paradise for bathers and water sports enthusiasts. The fertile countryside keeps the local markets well stocked with bundles of fresh produce so the local restaurants are packed with wonderful fresh food. The area offers boundless opportunities for sports and other activities. No less than 7 golf courses can be found within a short drive, with 2 new ones about to be constructed within the town itself. Not to mention the world renowned La Manga Club!

Payment in full or a deposit of 20% secures booking. Full payment due 4
weeks before departure when full instructions will be forwarded. Linen, towels
and electricity are provided, a small payment of approx 40 Euros must be paid
direct to our agent on leaving for cleaning services. Please leave the house as
you find it within reason. For clarification over rates please email with
enquiry. Negotiable rates for longer lets in quiet periods. £100 refundable damage/loss of keys bond is required
with final payment, which will be repaid following our agent’s report and confirmation of return of keys.
Payment in Euros and Stirling is acceptable.

Apartment has intercom access, lift and is located on second floor of secure block, with rooftop solarium. Air-conditioning ensures maximum comfort both in Summer and Winter. Pools & gardens for sole use of the residents/guests & look beautiful when lit at night. The beach at Los Alcazares is very safe & the water is very shallow making it ideal for children. There are many beach bars serving snacks and drinks along the edge of the beautiful promenade. No smoking in the property. Very spacious roof solarium with sun all day until sundown, complete with patio furniture and views of the mountains, sea and surrounding area - just perfect for watching the sunset over a bottle of wine!!
El Mar Menor The gently sloping shallow waters of the Mar Menor mean it is warmer than the Mediterranean, making it safer for young children as it is very placid and there is very good visibility across the water. You can walk out for many metres with the warm water still only lapping your thighs and no big waves or strong currents, so you can relax and enjoy your day at the beach. With the many cafes and bars dotted along the beach it's a great way to spend the day and soak up the sun. Every kind of water sport is available! The mineral-rich water of the Mar Menor is renowned for its health-giving properties and there are nearby thermal baths which have existed since Roman times. The very salty water in the Mar Menor lagoon (San Pedro round to La Manga) is supposed to be very good to bathe in, especially for skin conditions. Many people come to the northern end of the Mar Menor to cover themselves in the black mud from the salinas, which is supposed to be full of all sorts of nutrients.
Flights & Transfers Costa Calida is now more accessible than ever with numerous low cost airlines flying into both Murcia (San Javier) & Alicante from all over the UK. There is a 2nd airport planned shortly just outside Murcia city itself. Fly to Murcia (MJV) from the following airports: Gatwick, Luton, Stansted, Cardiff, East Midlands, Leeds-Bradford, Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham, Southampton, Prestwick, Edinburgh,Glasgow, Shannon, Dublin, Guernsey & Kent. Most others fly into Alicante which is itself only 45 mins drive away. Fly to Murcia from all over the UK & EIRE on the numerous low cost carriers, and with the resort only a 10 min drive away you won't waste time in a car. A full airport transfer service can be arranged from either Murcia or Alicante please enquire for details.
Shopping/Leisure Los Alcazares was named after the palaces that stood in medieval times & is still unspoilt, retaining much of its original Spanish charm. Most of the narrow streets lead directly to the 7 km, sandy Blue Flag beach. There are plenty of restaurants & beach bars providing a wide range of cuisine. Los Alcazares offers a non-package-tour environment. With its wonderful all year round climate it has something for all seasons. The town's market days are Tuesday & Saturday when a wide variety of goods are available. There are also many modern high street shops & shopping malls within easy reach. The historic city of Murcia, is only 30 minutes by car, with its many squares & narrow streets & the city of Cartagena, which is only 15 minutes drive away, are both well worth exploring for their shops, architecture and history. A 40 minute drive will take you to Elche's vast shopping complex, where you can buy locally-made shoes (only available from Bond Street couture houses) at vastly reduced price
Golf Information Compared to other property for rent on the La Manga complex, this offers very good value for money, saving 40% in some cases. With La manga only a short drive away, and with it's own 3 golf courses, state of the art tennis complex, casino and fine restaurants (all open to non-residents), this is a cost-effective alternative place to stay, with no compromise in the standard of the accommodation. There are no less than seven golf courses (four of international standard) well within 30 minutes drive, & an impressive 23 courses within the CostaBlanca/Costa Calida coastline which cater for all handicap levels.
